A Short History 1955 In seeking a new life for
his family in the countryside, Tom Myers Snr, acquires Stoneyacre and establishes a poultry business. Victor
Perritt starts making tablet using an original recipe handed down through his family, where he sold it at his milk bar at
Easter Glenboig Farm Fintry, which was one of the first in Scotland. Victor James Confectionery is established as a business after the popularity of the tablet increased demand.
Tom Myers (the present owner), son of the founder joins his father
in the poultry business. After
looking at many options and ideas for diversification an opportunity arose where Tom Myers Jnr, starts importing cakes and
biscuits at Stoneyacre.
Tom Myers
Jnr starts to distribute Victor James Confectionery After sales outgrew the production facilities at Easter Glenboig Victor Perritt buys the Log Cabin
in Fintry, refurbished it and moves in. Tom and Anne Myers
purchase Victor James Confectionery. After 29 years of manufacturing Victor James Confectionery in Fintry, it was with some
sadness that we had to move away from Fintry. Due to increased demand larger premises were needed, and these were built at
Stoneyacre, bringing both businesses together in one location. Once again due to increased demand we built an additional Extension at Stoneyacre which doubled our manufacturing space. After a couple of years in development our new electronic customers
sales order management system became fully operational in January this year. This system has greatly increase the operational
efficiency of the office. |
